Chicago Cubs Win First World Series in 108 years

In a stunning 3-1 comeback, the Chicago Cubs win Game 7 of the World Series to become world champions in extra innings. Under the management of Joe Maddon, the Cubs had not just a record breaking season, a legendary season. The young Cubs have been brimming with talent that could not be stopped. The Cleveland Indians though, put up a very good fight and looked like the favorites for a time. This is the first time Chicago has won since 1908, when Teddy Roosevelt was President and sliced bread wasn’t invented yet. They won in a score of 8-7 in 10 spectacular innings.
