A small baby has been left with a fractured skull and brain injury. It is suspected that the baby had been hit out of nowhere by a complete stranger after they had been queued up in McDonald’s.
The police have brought out some CCTV images of what happened, the woman who was supposedly the carer who was watching over the attacker but not in this instance, a moment after the man in the wheelchair struck out at the baby who was being carried.
The small 7-month-old girl has suffered from a small fracture and a bleed on the brain after the incident in Gallions Reach shopping centre, Newham, east London.
The police are still trying to figure out whether the man in the wheelchair had done it deliberately.
The police say: “The baby was kept in hospital overnight but discharged the next day. The baby has now fully recovered.”
